Media Releases to get your message to the right people
From time to time, businesses release information to the press on something important that has happened. The information needs to be newsworthy (at least to the target audience for which it’s intended) and also needs to be presented in a specific format if it’s ever going to be picked up.
When Writing Press And Media, Structure Carefully
A media release needs to have the following attributes:
- A clear headline that sums up the story in ten words or less.
- A first sentence which contains all the main points of the story.
- Subsequent paragraphs which add relevant information in order of importance.
- Is written in clear and concise language without flowery prose.
