Copywriting is the use of words to promote something, where the word “copy” means the written word. Copywriters write copy for all mediums including both printed and electronic or online formats.

Marketing is the analysis, planning, implementation, and control of programs designed to increase awareness and interest in a product or service. There are many aspects to marketing that include promotion, advertising, communication and management which are all combined to deliver value to customers with the goal of benefitting the company / person performing the marketing. Many people confuse and combine marketing and sales, although they are very different functions requiring very different skill sets.
